El Paraguas in Madrid

"I thought I’d leave a review since there’s mixed opinions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. From the moment we were greeted and attentively helped with our son’s stroller to the moment we left, everyone was courteous and extremely welcoming. My wife and I had dinner for my birthday, with my 2 year old son at around 8pm. I can’t think of one thing that college been done better. Promotion service, drinks, attention to dietary restrictions, to a pregnant person, and to a 2 year old boy who was hungry. The menu is just right and full of fun options to taste Andalusian cuisine. The wine was all great, even wine available by the glass."

"An amazing place.. everything about it is simply superb… food is delicious, truly work of art... one of a kind places… wines are out of this world… how many places can provide Petrus or Margaux by the glass… true gem..atmosphere of the place creates just one feeling, I don’t want to leave…. definitely will come again.. if you value quality, a must visit place…"

"Here, food is not just sustenance—it’s storytelling, memory, and performance… Loved the fine dinning experience, high quality of their fresh products and their intention!! Amazing gazpacho, lovely grilled octopus…. My Mother couldn’t talk enough about that delicious artichoke lasagna!! The best one I’ve ever had!! However, I must comment on the host of the terrace Alex who was rude and had an entitled attitude about him approaching the guests with such a demeanor!! Passive aggressive comments and felt rushed every time he came to our table. His service was the only down side of this experience, otherwise every other server was kind, attentive, courteous and very efficient!! Each course that followed built upon the last like movements in a symphony—cohesive yet surprising!! Loved everything about this place, except our disappointed encounter with this guy who should clearly not be serving at a 5 star restaurant!!"

"Everything was great, the location, food and service were impeccable. We went there for our anniversary and enjoyed our time. The terrace was amazing and had a great vibe. Really recommend the sea bass fish and apple pie for dessert. We also tried the octopus and beans stew which were also delicious."

"Dinner at El Paraguas was an absolute delight! I went with some Spanish friends for a late dinner, and from start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour, every dish we tried was outstanding. What made the evening even more special was one of the staff members (sadly I didn’t catch her name as she left before we finished). She was so friendly, always smiling, and her recommendations were spot on, they really elevated our dining experience. Overall, El Paraguas is not just about great food but also about the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madrid!"
